Calvary Refuge, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides emergency housing for homeless individuals and families in need.
Clients are provided with 21 day housing, case management, hygiene kits, Marta passes, clothing, over the counter medication, three meals per-day, employment and housing resources. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided by local churches and other organizations.
Through the continued effort of Calvary's staff, volunteers, financial and other donations, and generous grants provided by federal, state, and county agencies, the Calvary Refuge Center has aided the homeless for nearly
30 years.
Through our emergency housing program, Calvary Refuge Center has helped thousands of homeless adults and children. The average American family is just a few paychecks away from homelessness.

Meet our new Executive Director,
Keisha Zimmerman
Keisha joined the Calvary Refuge Center team in 2009 as the Transitional Housing Program Manager, bringing with her a passion for service and a heart for helping others. Since then, she has continued to grow both personally and professionally, earning a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University and a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.
In December 2023, Keisha stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director at Calvary Refuge Center, and in November 2024, she was officially appointed Executive Director. Her commitment to education, leadership, and compassionate service reflects her unwavering dedication to empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
